Skating Safety + Policies

• Guests age 16 and under must wear a CSA-approved helmet that covers the back and sides of the head. BYOH (bring your own helmet).
• Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Everyone on the ice must wear skates.
• Please don’t figure skate, race or skate backward.
• If using figure skates, please DO NOT use the pick to stop – VERY IMPORTANT – as it will damage the ice surface.
• Drinks are allowed inside the skating rink. Food is not allowed.
• Skating skills of all levels are welcome! Please be careful and be respectful of others on the rink so everyone can have a great time.
• For guests’ safety, skating availability is weather dependent
• RendezViews team reserves the right to remove guests who violate rink policies and safety.

About WinterViews Ice Rink

Our synthetic skating rink, made possible with the support of the Toronto Downtown West BIA, will be the largest Glice ® Eco ™ Rink in Toronto this season. That means zero water, energy and CO2 emissions used.

Embrace a unique skating experience on our synthetic ice rink! Unlike traditional ice, our rink isn’t meant for Olympic-level speed skating or complex figure skating maneuvers like triple salchows. Instead, it offers a leisure skating experience, perfect for enjoying winter’s magic. It may take a few tries to master, but don’t give up!

One of the key benefits of our synthetic ice is its environmental friendliness by conserving significant amounts of water typically required for real ice rinks, which can be up to 15,000 gallons!  Plus, our rink remains operational even when temperatures rise above freezing, extending your skating fun throughout the winter season. Skate more, worry less about the weather, and enjoy the outdoors with us!
